Short Stories Infinite Corridors is a reference to several points of time during the history of film. It could also apply to music because in both cases the art forms have infinite corridors of time that you can relive because of their ability to be preserved infinitely with technology and remasteriing techniques.

Sebastian Lorefice is a self sufficient indie musician that has his own interpretations of time and space regarding the world of music and film. He takes an interesting and atmospheric instrumental view of the corridors he walks down. Notice the Hollywood walk of fame path inviting you into his world on the cover? Be careful how far you walk though as you may fall off the edge and be lost forever in the universe and its black hole of short stories.

I like to look at the covers of CDs to see what the messages are and then try to unlock the answers while listening to the music. The music of Lorefice allowed me to go through that enjoyable process. There is plenty of variety offered on this CD. The talented artist composes and performs everything using a Fatar master keyboard (STUDIO 1100) plugged into a Korg Trinity Plus. "You're Inviting Eyes" is the only cover on the album. The only help he gets musically is from Peter Pistevos (electric guitar on "Soldier" and "Street Gangs") and Adam Calaitzis (drum programming). Through nine cinematic tracks, Lorefice brings you contemporary jazz sliced up with parts of electronic keyboards and an occasional odd sound or tweak for the desired and necessary effect.“Lugosi’s Lullaby” is a good example of this method. It makes you feel there is a vampire lurking around the corner, along with the things that go bump in the night, to make Bela stalking you believable.

While listening, my son got bits and pieces of this along the way and he kept asking me “You already listened to this right?” And my reply would be, “Yes, several times.” This is a typical scenario in the room I listen to my music and go through my process to write about it. This time the comment I heard from the young man was “This reminds me of music on some of my games.” Soundtracks for video games are big business these days and I have to agree with him, I heard plenty that could fit into that area.

This is an interesting combination of jazz and world fusion that rocks you with some punch and also has its share of moments where it sounds quirky and futuristic. It keeps you on your toes wondering what the next track is about to bring. For my varied tastes and judicious ears this was a pleasure to listen to. When the music stops the stories end but they don’t have to, just play it all again.

Old Sounds Become New On Roddo Fab Industries Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Indianapolis, Indiana-April 9, 200- John Gassere, known as the one man band Roddo Fab Industries to his listeners, was a born Beatlemaniac. It was not unusual to find John jumping up and down to the strains of "She Loves You" when he was a little boy growing up in Indiana. The recently released Sugar. Plum. Plastic. is like walking into a time machine back to the golden age of rock music.

John played bass guitar in pit orchestras, jazz bands, and talent shows, throughout his High Schools days and in between all of that activity he took lessons in piano, string bass, and electric bass. As a student at the University of Arizona, John was one of the first people in the nation to play bass guitar in a major university marching band using a big Peavey amp on wheels which ran off a golf cart battery. He has been writing songs and making one-man-band multi-track recordings since he was 14. The Beatles and music of that era, continue to inspire a quest to improve his songwriting and create new music harkening back to that time.

Not your typical indie musician, John Gassere does his part for mankind as a special education teacher with at-risk High School students. With the summers off and other vacations afforded in his profession, it allows him to work on musical projects such as the recently released Sugar. Plum. Plastic.

The weight of the world and all its problems melt away while listening to pop-rock nuggets such as the Sgt. Pepper era “Purple Streets.” The album is a magnificent tribute to the Fab Four and the memorable pop-rock music of that time. John feels it’s important to write and sing the type of music you want, regardless of what the trends are because if it’s good music people will listen. And this most certainly applies to Sugar. Plum. Plastic. with all of its catchy melodies and Beatlesque grooves.

Folk Artist Thomas Earl Releases Masterful CD Golddust Magic

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, New York-April 9, 2007- Singer/songwriter and BMI recording artist Thomas Earl has just released his new CD Golddust Magic. The recording is already receiving rave reviews from all corners of the globe.

Thomas clearly has influences drawn from country, folk and rock and roll greats Ray Charles, Bill Monroe, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones. His distinct sound boils down to a magnificent blend of acoustic American music steeped in the traditions of greats such as James Taylor, Neil Young, Bill Withers, Lyle Lovett, Steve Earl, and Amos Lee.

Thomas Earl’s musical journey began in a small town in Michigan outside of Ann Arbor, playing in local clubs with then unknown and aspiring musicians such as Joni Mitchell, John Hammond, Jim Kweskin, and Maria Muldaur. In the 1970s, along with a number of folk artists, he began a migration into rock and roll. His experiences included a brief brush with commercial success with a group called The Woolies, releasing a cover of “Who Do You Love?”, as well as working in a group called The James K. Polk Memorial Rock Band, who released a rock version of Jessie Collin Young’s “Four in the Morning.” At a young age Thomas left the music industry in order to survive. Three years ago he left the corporate world and settled in upstate New York to return to his passion, making music. His long road brought him back full circle to his roots and the end result is the brilliant and fulfilling Golddust Magic.

Golddust Magic was co-produced and engineered by Joe Johnson, of Red Wally Music, who has worked with such artists as Keith Richards, Johnny Winter and Joan Jett. Jerry Krenach, who has played with Chris Whitley, David Byrne and Darryl Hall, plays drums on the project while Sean Dixon and Scott Sharrard, New York City based session musicians and producers, produced the CD and contributed guitar, bass, keyboard, and percussion tracks.

Visit Thomas Earl’s website for updates, performance dates, downloads and more. Currently Golddust Magic is for sale on CD Baby.
